The Begin

Microla Optoelectronics S.r.l. has been founded in 2006 as Spin-off of Politecnico di Torino and its first laser source has been commercialised next year. The goal was achieved thanks to the diligence of engineers and physicists with the idea on laser for industrial application to push the economy of our country. Today, many company bought our products and many others, in agreement with Microla, achieved a relevant success to put on the shelves new processes or characterization systems by laser application.

The Mission

Design and fabrication of laser and laser systems requires experience in optics and electronics, organization, attention to details and why not just a bit of passion. But who decided to operate with Microla found especially the competency to listen to individual need and the ability to learn from the customer background in order to quickly operate. The first step toward innovation comes from a non-stop dialog with production and market world. The real added value Microla’s getting to promote a virtuous dialogue between industrial partners and academics, since in Italy is not so intensive.

The Value

Behind each laser system designed and fabricated by Microla there are quality choices. Microla apply components with a certified high standard of quality, only. Suppliers are selected for their capability level and always by direct contact while trade fairs occur or technical meetings around the world. All products have been designed in agreement with the customer to guarantee the most easy human interface.

The Competencies

Microla’s laser sources are solid state laser, diode pumped both in CW e pulsed, entirely fabricated by Microla’s staff: the systems have been optimized to get the best performances in order obtain high quality results, such as: micro-drilling, micro-ablation and micro-welding. Microla invested lots of resources on design of optoelectronics systems for materials characterization both reflection and spectroscopy. Microla Optoelctronics is involved in many research projects in agreement with companies and national/international research centres.

La progettazione dei nostri prodotti e sistemi viene eseguita mediante software dedicati. Le nostre sorgenti laser vengono rigorosamente assemblate in Clean room (classe 1000).

Materials characterization

Dopo un periodo di due anni di permanenza all'interno dell'Incubatore di Imprese del Politecnico di Torino - I3P, dal gennaio 2009 l'ampliamento delle attività aziendali ha portato al trasferimento dei laboratori e degli uffici presso il campus tecnologico di Chivasso.
