The “core business” of Microla is the design of optoelectronics systems and processes in which materials and optical competences are required. The company, therefore, is involved in many projects both for industrial and scientific applications. Many technological applications are in development in synergy with industrial and academic partners. The planning of Microla and the close synergy with the Politecnico di Torino led to design and fabricate several optoelectronics devices able to promote territorial competitiveness. Following, many industrial companies that have been get advantageous position by Microla’s competences, are reported:

System SpA

Design of laser beam delivery for high pulse power (CO2) and extra cavity Q-switch insertion. The activity was proposed by the customer to maintain its competitiveness.

AVIO SpA

Design and fabrication of no touch laser measurement system able to catch the hardening of steels. The system has been obtained by means of a pulsed laser (CW 15 W @ 808 nm), an optical system to receive the thermal waves emitted by the sample, the electronics interface and the management software system.

Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Telethon, Olivetti iJet SpA

Design and fabrication of thermal cycling Bio-Chio (DNA analysis). The thermal management competence of Microla allowed the design of a dedicated Thermal Electrical Cooling (TEC).
